【日々のこと】手で綿を入れる理由 /The reason why to stuff a HANTEN with cotton by handwork

宮田織物のはんてんは、一つ一つ手で綿入れが行われています。 外側の布は綿100％。中綿は宮田織物のオリジナルブレンドである綿80％、ポリエステル20％。その素材も良質なものを使っていますので洗濯をすると「ボンッ」とフワフワに戻ります。なぜ綿を手入れしているかというと、1つめは、着る方のことを考えて腰回りや背中などは綿を二重にして暖かい構造としているということ。2つめは、隅々までしっかり綿がいきわたるようにするためです。

しっかり綿をつめた後は、手とじという工程があり、一針一針綿をはんてんの中に入れ込みます。生地が突っ張らないように、決まった縫目で丁寧に縫っていきます。綿もしっかり抑えているので動きません。

今から本格的な冬になってきます。この暖かさをぜひ体感して欲しいと思います。

After the stuff, they sew up by needle carefully one by one, to make cotton is not out of the clothes.don’t strain too much, they sew up the length that was decided. They sew exactly and hold the cotton from the back side, so if you wash the HANTEN, cotton will not move.
