視察・研修旅行 始めます！
福岡・八女にアンテナショップを構える「うなぎの寝床」。筑後地方を中心に、九州一円のものづくりを取り扱い、素材・製造工程・使用感・生産規模など作り手に関する情報はもちろんのこと、地域の歴史・文化・風習などを調査・研究し、「地域メディア」としての情報の蓄積とアウトプットに取り組んでいます。地元に根付いているからこそ掘り起こすことのできる、産地としての「一次情報」をツアー・視察という形で、皆様にも共有する取り組みを始めました。八女への旅をよりディープなものにしたい方、うなぎの寝床のノウハウを学びたい方、久留米絣など特定の分野のことを知りたい方、伝統工芸やものづくりにご興味のある方など、是非ご検討ください。また海外の方などに対しての通訳アテンドや、会議・研修旅行・長期滞在の方向けのコーディネートも行っております。
1.「うなぎの寝床」視察・筑後ものづくりツアー
基本参加費：¥10,000 /お１人様
– 別途消費税がかかります。
– 基本的には３名様より承りますが、日程・内容等によっては調整が可能ですので、ご相談ください。
– 昼食・夕食が入る場合、飲食代は含みません。
視察スケジュール例：
10:30 「うなぎの寝床」集合
・うなぎの寝床の活動内容・考え方・仕組みなど、ざっくばらんにご説明します
12:00 昼食・まち歩き
・地元の美味しいお店をご紹介します
13:00 工房視察（２件ほど）
・久留米絣・仏壇・提灯・和紙・竹細工・陶磁器・木工（家具・桶・玩具他）などの八女・筑後地域の作り手の中から、視察のご希望内容に近い作り手をピックアップ
・材料、製造工程、歴史などをふまえてご紹介します
16:00頃 解散

– 3名以上でのご参加をご希望の方は、基本的にお車でお越しの方のみに限らせていただきます。
– 現地までの交通手段や宿などの手配は、含まれておりません。コーディネートをご希望の場合は、【2.1：コーディネート・通訳】をご確認ください。

2-1. コーディネート・通訳
八女・筑後地域のものづくりの視察、研修旅行、国際会議などをお考えの方に向け、コーディネート及びアテンド/通訳を行っております（日本語・英語で対応可）。久留米絣・仏壇・提灯・和紙・竹細工・陶磁器・木工（家具・桶・玩具他）・工業製品・化粧品など、目的とテーマに合わせ、私達が地元でお取引・お付き合いのある方々とお繋ぎし、材料・工程・生産体制・歴史なども含めてしっかりとご紹介します。ご要望に合わせてフレキシブルに対応可能ですので、是非ご相談ください。
・通訳ガイド費用（通常レベルのアテンド・スタディトリップなど）
1時間：￥10,000〜
半日：4時間 / ￥35,000〜
1日：8時間 / ￥65,000〜
交通費 1回派遣につき / ￥1000
– 別途消費税がかかります。
– 5名以上の場合は、追加でお1人1,250円になります。
– 半日は4時間、1日は8時間です。通訳時間も含めた拘束時間で計算させていただきます。
– 午後6時以降は夜間料金となります。（通常料金＋1時間毎に1,000円）
– 通訳ガイドの資格を持った者の案内です。

※ 商談や会議などより専門性の高い内容に関しましては、事前準備も含めて、別途お見積りさせていただいております。

筑後・八女地域は案外広いエリアで、公共交通機関も少なく、作り手もあちこちに分散しています。目的やご興味に合わせて、それぞれの作り手の特性と強みを考えながら、より効率的に回れるようにコーディネートいたします。また八女地域でのご宿泊・お食事予定の方、長期滞在の方なども、コーディネートをお手伝いいたしますので、ご相談ください。ミーティングや商談などのアレンジも可能です。ご人数・規模・ご滞在日数・目的等によって、料金が変わります。お見積りをいたしますので、是非お問い合わせください。

2-2. Interpretation and Coordination
We specialize in providing top quality interpretation service with deep understanding of cultural sensibilities, giving thorough advice to our customers about local manufacturers and their products of Chikugo area (Southern Fukuoka) in Kyushu, which our company has connections with. The type of products of we can introduce with in-depth knowledge of the materials, manufacturing process and system, characteristis, people and their history, includes “kurume kasuri” textile, “chochin” paper lanterns, “washi” paper, bamboo crafts, pottery and porcelain, wooden products (traditional furniture, baskets, and toys), green tea and much more.
・Interpretation fee (For standard class interpretation, attendance, study trips etc.)
￥7000~ per hour
￥25,000~ half day (4 hours)
¥ 50,000~ full day (8 hours)
(plus ￥1000 travel expences per visit)
– Please note that consumption tax will be added seperately to the total amount of fees
– The hours indicate full engagement time of the interpreter, from the gathering time to the dispersal time and also include any consultation time.
– For hours after 18:00 pm, ¥1,000 per hour will be chaged on top of the standard rate.
* Although the above is our standard rate, please send us an inquiry with information about your project, such as the subject matter, schedule, time, budget, language and type of interpretation needed, so we can provide you appropriate level of service and price estimate.
* If you require interpretation for higher level interpretation such as business negotiations or business meetings, the below rates may be applied including prior preperation fees.

* In case of cancellation after placement of order, cancellation fee will be charged based on the rules below:
1. 4 to 5 days before the commencement of service: 30 % of the standard fee
2. 2 to 3 days before the commencement of service: 30 % of the standard fee
3. One day before, or the day of the commencement of service: 100 % of the standard fee
・Coordination fee (Visiting route, transportation, accommodation, food, meeting venues etc.)
As Yame and Chikugo is a vast suburb area, the public transportation situation is not necessarily good and the craft-makers/manufacturers are also spread in different areas. According to your interest and purpose of your trip, we offer coordination services to help you choose the best places to visit, considering the strengths and charateristics of each maker, and efficient route and schedule for your visit. For those who are considering staying overnight and long-stays , we can also suggest and assist your accommodation and food arrangements. Arragements for business meetings and conferences are also possible. The rates vary depending on factors such as the size of the group, number of days and the purpose of your visit. ◯「オランダｘ九州 エキスパートミーティング」
→ 通訳アテンド・コーディネート（２０１６）
Dutch Cultureとオランダ大使館主催の「工芸とイノベーション」をテーマにした国際会議。日蘭から行政・大学・作り手など工芸に関わる専門家が集まり、九州芸文館で１日プレゼンテーションやディスカッションが行われました。前日にはオランダからのゲストの皆様を、八女の作り手のところにご案内し、日本での工芸技術の現状や久留米絣の産業規模や今後の可能性についてなどの話も含め、ご紹介しました。
◯ “Holland x Kyushu” Expert meeting
→ Interpretation / Coordination (2016)
An international conference was held in Yame, Fukuoka, to discuss about “Crafts and Innovation”, inviting experts from Japan and the Netherlands, hosted by Dutch Culture and the Dutch Embassy in Japan. Participants from the government, educational institutions, NGOs, and manufacturers have made presentations and held discussions for a day at the Kyushu Geibunkan, designed by Kengo Kuma. We have arranged visits to local craftmakers in Yame, explaining about the situation in Japanese craft industry and possibilities for the future.

◯「Takuya Duncan」イーストハンプトン発アパレルブランド / ニューヨーク
→ リサーチトリップ 通訳アテンド (2015)
ニューヨーク近くのリゾート地であるイーストハンプトンをコンセプトにしたブランド “Takuya Duncan”(http://takuyaduncan.com）。Aaron Duncan氏とTakuya Suzuki氏によって２０１６年に立ち上げられたブランドで、日本の文化とイーストハンプトンとの融合をブランドコンセプトの一つの軸にされており、生地とビジネスパートナー探しに久留米・八女地域の織物の産地にもリサーチに来られ、いくつかの織元・メーカーにご案内しました。
◯「Takuya Duncan」 / East Hampton, New York
→ Research & Interpretation
“Takuya Duncan” is a menswear brand, inspired by the casual lifestyle of East Hampton, New York, founded by Takuya Suzuki and Aaron Duncan in 2016. Their brand concept is “East meets the East-End”- combining the Hamptons lifestyle with Japenese craftsmanship. They have visited various craftsmen and manufacturers in Japan prior to the start-up, and we have guided them to some of the textile mills and makers of Kurume and Yame area.
◯ アーティスト company / フィンランド
→ 通訳アテンド（２０１６〜）
ヨーロッパ各国、ロシア、韓国、日本などの工芸の作り手とコラボをして、アート作品を産み出してきたcompanyのアーム/Aamu Songとヨハン/Johan Olin。２０１５年に青森県立美術館で、青森出身のアーティスト・奈良美智さんによる若手アーティストを呼ぶ企画展「PHASE」に選ばれ、「カンパニー：ニッポン・北のヒミツ」展の作品の一つとして、東北のコケシをモチーフに久留米絣の織元とコラボしました。２０１６年には九州のヒミツを探るために行なった、リサーチトリップに同行。久留米絣、郷土人形、天然杉粉線香、手漉き和紙、陶磁器などの作り手へ案内し、通訳を行いました。
◯ Artist duo “company” Kyushu / Finland
→ Research trip: Joint-project / Interpretation (2016〜)
The Helsinki-based artist/designer duo, Johan Olin & Aamu Song comprising COMPANY (http://www.com-pa-ny.com), has been working with craftmakers from Europe, Russia, South Korea and Japan. They have visited Japan in 2015 for their exhibition “Secrets of Northen Japan” directed by artist Yoshitomo Nara, to explore the new product design for traditional crafts of Northern Japan, incorporating their own original and playful aesthetic. In one of the textile work, they have collaborated with weavers of ‘kurume kasuri” to construct a original ‘kokeshi’ (traditional wooden doll from Tohoku region) pattern. In 2016, we have joined their research trip to Kyushu to explore the sercrets of southern Japan, guiding them to craftmakers of Yame, such as kasuri weavers, local doll makers, natural ceder powder maker, traditional washi paper maker, and pottery/porcelain makers.

渡邊令 / Rei Watanabe
1989年東京都生まれ、ロンドン・スクール・オブ・エコノミクス（LSE）社会人類学部卒業。その後福岡のポンプ会社で社長秘書を勤めた後、2015年7月に株式会社うなぎの寝床入社。小学校4年生からダジャレを作っては収集するダジャレ通。その明るい人柄で多くの人から愛されるキャラである。高校２年からカナダに留学し、世界中１００か国近くから高校生が集まり、森の中で2年間共同生活をするという特殊な学校に行き、大学はイギリスへ。海外での経験を活かし、地方および日本における本質的な魅力とは何かを考え探り続ける。リサーチして発信・翻訳する役割。
As a translator and researcher at Unagi-no-Nedoko, Rei is in charge of the communications, and coordinates research trips and business meetings for those who are interested in engaging with local craftmakers in Northern Kyushu area, both in English and Japanese. Rei was born in Tokyo, and has lived in the United States, Canada, and the UK. She has attended United World College of the Pacific in Canada, and graduated from the London School of Economics (LSE) with a bachelor’s degree in Social Anthropology. Prior to joining Unagi-no-Nedoko in July 2015, she was executive assistant to CEO at Honda Kiko Co., Ltd., and program leader at a social enterprise in a rural fishing village in Nagasaki, providing home stay experiences and cultural/environmental programs to foreign visitors.

白水高広 / Takahiro Shiramizu
1985年佐賀県小城市生まれ。大分大学工学部福祉環境工学科建築コース卒業。個人事業としてデザインの仕事をはじめる。その後3年間、福岡県南部・筑後地域の商品開発やブランディングを行なう「九州ちくご元気計画」の主任推進員として経験を積む。任期を終え2012年、大学からの友人である春口丞悟と共にうなぎの寝床を立ち上げる。販売だけではなく、調査研究も含めた、地域の人、文化、技術などを掘り起こしながら、様々な人々、会社、行政ともコミュニケーションをとり事業を推進。企画・デザイン・商品開発・撮影、調査研究等、幅広く活動を続ける。
Takahiro is the co-founder and chief manager of Unagi-no-Nedoko, which he started with his friend, Shogo Haruguchi (“Haru”) in 2012. He was born and raised in Saga, and after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Oita University, he started working as a freelance designer. Prior to opening Unagi-no-Nedoko, Takahiro was the chief coordinator of “Kyushu-Chikugo Genki Project”, which was aimed to vitilize job creation in the southern Fukuoka area (Chikugo) through product design and branding. After the three years term has ended in 2012, Takahiro and Haru opened Unagi-no-Nedoko shop in Yame, Fukuoka. The business includes not only retail and wholesale of local craft products, but research of people, culture, techniques and history of the local area. Takahiro is in charge of directing, design, product development, photographing and research.
岡本真祐子 / Mayuko Okamoto
1983年岡山県倉敷市生まれ。国際基督教大学教養学部卒業、東京大学大学院人文社会系研究科修士課程修了、同博士課程在学中。幼い頃から岡山・大阪・兵庫・東京・福島・ドイツ・インド・モンゴルなどに国内外を転々とし、あっという間に荷物をまとめて引っ越しができるフットワークの軽さが培われた。インドの高校（UWCマヒンドラカレッジ）を卒業後、大学での学芸員課程助手などを経て、青年海外協力隊にて文化財保護隊員としてモンゴルのカラコルム博物館で２年間活動。専門は博物館学、博物館史。その幅広い知識で地域と世界をつなげる役割を果たしている。
Born in Okayama in 1983, Mayuko has lived in many parts of Japan such as Osaka, Hyogo, Tokyo, Fukushima, and the world, including Germany, India and Mongolia. After acquiring a BA from International Christian University, and a MA from University of Tokyo Graduate School, she currently enrolss in the PhD course at the same institution. She has experience of some museum-related jobs including a teaching assistant for the curatorial training course at a university, as well as a two-year governmental volunteering at the Karakorum museum in Mongolia. Specialized in museology and museum history, she contributes in connecting “the local” with international context through her knowledge and research.
